Drunk man rapes 7-years-old girl in Begusarai school, bites her friend's face

On the day of Holi, a despicable incident took place in Begusarai where a drunken man raped a seven-year-old girl and bit the cheek of her minor friend, causing injury, the police have arrested the accused.

In another incident, a boy from a different community was arrested for raping and molesting two minor girls near Pachveer Chowk in the Sahebpur Kamal police station area. The Ballia DSP and Sahebpur Kamal police station chief reached the spot immediately and the victim girls were taken to the Sadar Hospital in Begusarai for treatment.

As per reports, two minor girls from Pachveer Panchayat had gone to the market on Wednesday afternoon to buy some items. While returning, they started playing on the swing installed on the school premises when two intoxicated youths came out of a tea-snack shop nearby and began molesting the girls. The 7-year-old girl hid in the toilet out of fear, and the accused raped her, while the 9-year-old girl who tried to resist was bitten on her cheek and thrown in the garden along with the other girl.

The girl who was raped was unconscious, while the other girl ran away from the garden, raising an alarm that led to a crowd gathering at the spot. Both the girls were then taken to the hospital. The locals demanded the immediate arrest of the accused and the removal of the shop, which is known for attracting drunkards and anti-social elements.

The DSP and SDO, along with their team, reached the spot soon after the incident was reported, and managed to pacify the angry crowd. Taking the matter seriously, the Ballia police formed a team under the leadership of DSP Kumar Veer Dhirendra to investigate the matter, leading to the arrest of the accused Rajkumar alias Chhotu Mahato from a farm. Based on Chhotu's tip-off, another accused, Bablu Kumar, was also arrested. Both the accused have been charged under the POCSO Act.
